The story behind the straight lines
Welcome to Studio Lofabi. A subdued color universe of geometric shapes, straight lines and checks. The purpose of my art is that it should be able to add color to your decor in a nice and simple way.
I like colors a lot, but they must not dominate too much in my decor. My art is therefore simple and timeless. I have always loved straight lines as they are calming and pleasing to the eye.
The straight lines that are pervasive in my art came about by chance when one day I sat down to paint different shapes on a canvas. I found some masking tape to create as straight lines as possible. Suddenly I could start to see something exciting take shape when I put the tape on the canvas. I put the brush down and put more tape on. In the end, I was left with a canvas without paint - but with shapes and straight lines created by masking tape. And then it took off.
In addition to using tape, I also experiment with paint, markers, fabric and cardboard. Combining these materials gives a fine and exciting 3D-like expression. I never know where I'll end up when I put the first piece of tape on. The further I go, the more patterns and shapes I discover, and eventually it all adds up to a higher unity.
My head is constantly full of ideas and I see shapes and figures everywhere. I therefore find my inspiration in various things I meet and see on my way. It could be, for example, a towel with a fine pattern, a doormat, color combinations in a sweater, nature, etc.
I am very honored that my art can grace your wall with calm shapes and colors, and I believe that the expression in my pictures can fit into many different homes.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and for supporting my small business.
Best regards,
